What’s new

I haven’t had a chance to solidify any new recipes for this weeks post, it’s been crazy busy here. My daughter had a car issue while she was out of town we had to help her with, which put me behind schedule. Then the Phoenix Open golf tournament was in town, and several companies my husband does business with gifted us tickets, so thats a few days gone. And of course, hockey. And laundry. And life….

I also started the training to become a certified yoga instructor a few weeks ago, which is exhilarating and emotional exhausting! I am loving every minute of it. I really need to back away from running for the sake of my back (the idea of a fusion scares me) and I’ve always loved yoga, so the timing just feels right.

There has been several clients and friends who have started cleanses to “kick off the new year, new diet” stuff, and I really cannot advocate for any “cleanse”; most only starve your body of the nutrients necessary to function properly and the any weight loss is water weight. Many juice cleanses are so stacked with sugar (natural of otherwise) and almost no fiber. So I decided to create my own.

That’s been my big project this year, and I am hoping to debut it to a select group of participants to get a feel for how it will work in the real world. This week, I am forcing my husband to join me and actually live the week 2 portion of the program. I really want to create something that is flexible enough to fit into busy schedules, and still offer successful weight loss results while being nutritionally sound.
